The head frame can be divided into end unloading head frame and side unloading head frame according to the form of frame body. The end unloading head frame is mainly composed of pressing blocks, bottom plates, side plates, middle plate components, vertical ribs, etc.
The base plate, middle plate and side plate are the main components of the head frame. The whole structure is a welded component. In order to avoid the chain wheel top chain, snap ring and other phenomena, the frame body is equipped with tongue plate, chain shifter and other accessories. The head frame is mainly a steel plate assembly weldment. Considering that it is easy to deform in the welding process, it is difficult to maintain lasting stability in appearance. Some additional structures, such as vertical ribs, are also set to strengthen the transverse and longitudinal strength and stiffness of the head frame.
According to the model and purpose of scraper machine, there are different types of head frames, but they have the same function:
1. The important parts of fixed chain wheel, transmission device and tongue plate are on the frame and meet the requirements of interchangeability of left and right working faces:
2. Smooth transition with the transition groove and sprocket, so that the scraper can operate in the groove without scratching, and can engage with the sprocket smoothly;
3. When the tail frame and head frame are interchanged, there shall be enough coal return space and chain passing space under and behind the chain wheel at the tail.
