What are the detection methods of broken belt signal of belt conveyor?

The occurrence of belt breaking accident of belt conveyor is random, which brings great difficulties to the detection of belt breaking signal. At present, the detection methods of belt breaking signal are mainly as follows:
Belt speed detection method
After the conveyor belt breaks, the speed of the upper and lower branches of the conveyor belt will have a large difference. Set up multi-point detection of the belt speed of the upper and lower conveyor belts, and send the belt breaking signal through the comparator.
Tension detection method
Generally, it is judged by detecting the tension force of the drawing device. The tension device of the belt conveyor is generally arranged at the head. When the belt breaks, the tension force of the tension device will be greatly reduced, which is used as a signal to judge the occurrence of the belt break.
Overhang detection method
Install the protective device switch on the idler frame with appropriate spacing along the conveyor. When the conveyor operates normally, the tensioning device will ensure that the belt sag is less than the minimum value. When the belt breakage accident occurs, the belt sag will increase. When the belt sag exceeds the set value, the opening and closing action will send the belt breakage signal at the same time.
Magnetic field change detection
The coil is embedded in the belt of the belt conveyor, and magnetic field generating and receiving devices are placed on the top and bottom of the belt respectively. When the conveyor operates normally, the coil in the magnetic field generates an additional magnetic field, and the magnetic field detected by the magnetic field receiving device is basically constant. When the belt breaking accident occurs, the coil in the belt conveyor is damaged, so the additional magnetic field changes, and the detection device detects this change, so as to obtain the belt breaking signal.
Most of the above detection methods of broken belt use electric signals as the signals of broken belt, which are easy to be interfered, and the detection principle is not very reliable, which is easy to cause misoperation.
